PWP is an eZine for writers by writers that features stories and poetry published each quarter (January 15, April 15, July 15, October 15). Works of creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, memoirs, reviews, biographies, essays etc. with a maximum limit of 5,000 words are accepted year round. All accepted submissions are eligible for inclusion in PWP's annual "best of" anthology. Writers are needed for the October issue {deadline for submissions is September 30, 2009} Call For Writers: The editors at PWP are looking for writers with an interest in writing about a variety of topics from current headlines in newspapers, magazines, and television news that include ethnic, religious, economic, political and environmental issues in Pittsburgh. Entries provide the historical background of headline stories so that the general reader can make sense of current events. A writer for this series should have an interest in providing clear and useful information to the public and previous writing experience.
